Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2021 invites applications from intending eligible Indian candidates for 42 posts of Group C in ASC units of 71 Sub Area / HQ Northern Command.
1. Civilian Motor Driver
No. of posts: 27 [UR-05, SC-21, ST-0, OBC-0, EWS-01]
Salary: PML-02 (19900-45700) Rs. 19900/- per month
Qualification & Experience:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Must possess a Civilian Driving license for heavy vehicles from DTO / RTO and have two years’ experience of driving such vehicles.
Age: 18-27 years.
2. Vehicle Mechanic
No. of posts: 01 [SC-01]
Salary: PML-02 (19900-45700) Rs. 19900/- per month.
Qualification & Experience:
- 10th Standard pass from a recognized board.
- Capable of reading numbers and names of tools and vehicles both in English and Hindi.
- One year experience in his trade (Capable of carrying out standard repairs of heavy vehicles).
Age: 18-25 years
3. Fireman
No. of posts: 3 [SC-01, ST-02]
Salary: PML-02 (19900-45700) Rs. 19900/- per month.
Qualification & Experience:
- 10th Standard pass from a recognized board
- Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, nose fittings, and fire appliances and equipment, fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
- Must be familiar with the use and maintenance, first-aid, fire fighting appliances, and Trailer Fire Pump.
- Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
- Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of a fire crew.
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under.
(i) Height without shoes: 165 cms, provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
(ii) Chest (un-expanded) — 81.5 cm
(iii) Chest (on-expansion) — 85 cms
(iv) Weight — 50 Kgs (Minimum)

4. Labourer
No. of posts: 10 [UR-07, OBC-03]
Salary: PML-01 (18000- 41100) Rs. 18000/- PM
Qualification & Experience: 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised board.
Age: 18-25 years.
5. Carpenter
No. of posts: 1
Salary: PML-01 (18000- 41100) Rs. 18000/- PM
Qualification & Experience:
- 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Should have knowledge of carpentry
Age: 18-25 years
