WBPCB Recruitment 2021: West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) is a State Regulatory Authority under the Department of Environment, Government of West Bengal.
WBPCB invites applications from the intending and eligible candidates for suitable Indian Nationals on a purely contractual basis under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) in West Bengal initially for a period up to one year and may be extended up to five years on a case-to-case basis depending upon the performance as per requirements. The candidates will have no right to claim any regular appointment.
1. Name of the Post: Senior Project Associate
No. of Posts: 11
Age Limit: 35 Years
Pay Scale: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month.
Place of Posting: One each at Haldia, Barrackpore, Durgapur, Ranigunj, Asansol, Howrah, Kolkata, and Department of Environment. Three at Air Quality Monitoring Cell (AQMS) at WBPCB HQ
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Civil/Architecture & Planning/Chemical Engineering from a Recognized University/ Institute.
Desirable Experience: Good experience in MS office and working experience in the field of Air Pollution or Environmental Pollution Control preferably for a period of more than 2 years.
2. Name of the Post: Project Associate
No. of Posts: 11
Age Limit: 30 Years
Pay Scale: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA per month.
Place of Posting: One each at Haldia, Barrackpore, Durgapur, Ranigunj, Asansol, Howrah, Kolkata, and Department of Environment. Three at Air Quality Monitoring Cell (AQMS) at WBPCB HQ

General Instruction, Essential Information and Clarification:
- The candidates must be a citizen of India.
- There is no Application Fee.
- The Candidates must carry photo identity proof, age proof, and original copies along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all the educational testimonials including experience certificate(s), if any, at the time of interview.
- The WBPCB reserves the right to post the selected candidates in any City/Town within the State of West Bengal.
- The WBPCB reserves the right to accept or cancel any application for any reason whatsoever. 6. No TA/DA and accommodation shall be provided for attending the interview.
- Error or omission in the notification and selection process is subject to corrections as per rules.
- The engagement may be terminated/extended without showing any reason whatsoever.
- In case of termination/resignation, one month’s notice for either side will be required. One month’s consolidated pay to be deposited /paid in lieu of notice.
- During the period of engagement in this Board, the candidate will not accept any employment or engagement in any other work, business, or occupation. He/she will not pursue any study course without the approval of the competent authority of the Board.
- The database generated during the tenure of engagement will be the exclusive property of the Board. He/she cannot be published or divert without the permission of the competent authority of the Board.
