UPSC Recruitment 2024: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from intending eligible candidates for the recruitment of 78 Specialist Grade III Posts under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
1. Name of the post: Specialist Grade III (Anaesthesiology)
No.of posts: 46 posts
Salary: Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
Age Limit:
- SC/ST: 50 years
- OBC: 48 years
- EWS/UR: 45 years
Education Qualification:
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification is included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Post-graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Anaesthesiology)/ M.S.(Anaesthesiology)/ Diploma in Anaesthesiology (D.A.)
Experience:
- Three years experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate Diploma
2. Name of the post: Specialist Grade III (Biochemistry)
No.of posts: 01 posts
Salary: Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
Age Limit: 50 years
Education Qualification:
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification is included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Post-Graduate Degree as mentioned in section A in Schedule VI i.e. M.D.(Bio-Chemistry)/ M.Sc.( Medical Biochemistry)/Ph.D.( Bio-Chemistry)/ D.Sc.( Bio-Chemistry)
Experience:
- Three years experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.
3. Name of the post: Specialist Grade III (Forensic Medicine)
No of posts: 07 posts

Microbiology)/ M.Sc.( Med. Microbiology) with D.Sc.( Med. Microbiology)/ D(Bact.)/ Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology(DPB).
Experience:
- Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate diploma.
5. Name of the post: Specialist Grade III (Pathology)
No.of posts: 07 posts
Salary: Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA

- Postgraduate degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Pathology)/ Ph.D.( Pathology)/ D.Sc.(Pathology)/Diploma in Clinical Pathology(DCP) /Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology(DPB).
Experience:
- Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or Five years’ experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate diploma.
6. Name of the post: Specialist Grade III (Plastic Surgery & Reconstructive Surgery)
No. of posts: 08 posts
Salary: Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
Age Limit:
- ST: 50 years
- OBC: 48 years
- UR: 45 years
Education Qualification:
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification is included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Recruitment 2024:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
