
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from intending eligible candidates for 375 vacancies for Assistant Director (Chemistry), Director General (Technical), Principal & Junior Technical Officer
1. Name of the Post: Assistant Director (Chemistry)
HQ: In the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Faridabad, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. (Faridabad, Haryana with liability to serve anywhere in India)
No. of Posts: 03 (SC- 01, UR-02)
Age Limit: 35 years
Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
M.Sc in Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc in Chemistry with specialization either in Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution.
EXPERIENCE: Three years practical experience of work relating to the analysis of Pesticides using modern sophisticated analytical instruments such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, High-performance liquid chromatography, Gas-Liquid Chromatography, etc. in a Central Government or State Government Department or Public Sector undertaking or Agricultural University or an Autonomous or Statutory or Semi-Government Organization or any recognized Research Institute or Councils.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate in Agricultural Chemistry or Doctorate Degree in Chemistry (with Research work on Pesticides-related subjects) from a recognized University.
2. Name of the Post: Nautical Surveyor-cum-Deputy Director General (Technical)
HQ: In the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, Ministry of Shipping (Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, and Mercantile Marine Departments located all over India)
No. of Post: 03 (SC- 01, EWS-01, UR-01)
Age Limit: 50 years
Pay Scale: Level-12 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship as recognized by the Government of India;
EXPERIENCE: Five years service as Deck Officer, after obtaining the certificate of competency of second mate (Foreign Going), of which one year must have been in the capacity of a Master on a Foreign going ship.
DESIRABLE: (i) Extra Master’s Certificate of Competency; or Master of Science Degree in Maritime Affairs awarded by a recognized University. (ii) Experience in survey and inspection of merchant ships and examination work for one year or more on the date of submission of application to the Union Public Service Commission.
3. Name of the Post: Principal

Age Limit: 50 years
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree from a recognized University / Institute; ii) Bachelor of Education from a recognized university/institute.
EXPERIENCE: Ten years experience of teaching (Vice Principal / Post Graduate Teacher / Trained Graduate Teacher) in a recognized High School / Higher Secondary School / Senior Secondary School / Intermediate College.
DESIRABLE: i) Holding Doctorate Degree from a Recognized University / Institute. ii) Experience of Administrative charge of a Recognized High School / Higher Secondary School / Intermediate College.
4. Name of the Post: Junior Technical Officer, Directorate of Sugar & Vegetable Oils, Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution
Total no. of Posts: 06 (SC-01, OBC-02, UR-03)
Age Limit: 30 years
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Bachelor of Technology(Oil Technology) or Bachelor of Engineering (Oil Technology) from a recognized University or Institute: or (ii) Bachelor’s degree in Science with Post-Graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University or Institute
EXPERIENCE: One year’s experience in Sugar Technology or edible oils from Public Sector Undertakings.
DESIRABLE: MSc. in Chemistry or Post Graduate degree in Oil Technology from a recognized University or institute. Note: The term “Oil Technology” used herein relates to edible oil Technology only.
