UPSC Recruitment 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from intending eligible candidates for Assistant Keeper, Fisheries Research Investigation Officer, Principal Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General(Technical), and Deputy Director
1. Name of the Post: Assistant Keeper
In Anthropological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture
No. of Posts: 02 (ST-01, OBC-01)
Age Limit: 35 years for STs and 33 years for OBCs.
Pay Scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-)
Educational Qualification:
(i) Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university or Institute.
(ii) Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or Institute.
DESIRABLE: At least one year’s experience of handling, maintaining, and preserving specimens in a recognized museum.
Headquarters: Kolkata
Duties: To organize and develop the Regional Anthropological Museum and to undertake field collection and studies in tribal and other areas
2. Name of the Post: Fisheries Research Investigation Officer
In Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying
No. of Post: 01 (ST-01)
Age Limit: Age: 40 years
Pay Scale: Pay Level- 10
Educational Qualification:
Masters Degree in Zoology with specialization in Fisheries or M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Marine Biology or M.Sc in Industrial Fisheries or M.Sc in Aquaculture or M.Sc in Fisheries Science from recognized the University or Institute.
Experience: Three Years experience in the field of Fisheries development including policy and planning, formulation and technical evaluation of plan schemes, their monitoring, and implementation, and handling parliamentary matter from a Central or State Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking or recognized Research Institute or Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organization
Duties: (i) To examine and process the proposal received for release of funds under the various schemes of inland fisheries aquaculture etc. (ii) To examine the proposal for grant of letter of permission for deep-sea vessels. (iii) To process the matters regarding international cooperation related to Fisheries.

3. Name of the Post: Principal Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General(Technical)
In Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways
No. of Post: 01 (UR-01)
Age Limit: 50 years
Pay Scale: Level- 14 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
Educational Qualification:
(i) Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I(Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and five year’s Service at sea of which one year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer.
(ii) Certificate of competency of extra first-class Engineer as Specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and Ten years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such Ships.
OR
Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Operation and Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent and twelve years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships
OR
M.Sc degree in Maritime Affairs covering all aspects of ‘Administration of Maritime Safety and Environment Protection from the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden or equivalent’ and twelve years experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships
Duties: Survey, Certification, Registration, inspection, Audit of Merchant Ships as per Merchant Shipping Act, Administrative duties as Head of the Department for MMD, the conduct of examination and issuance of C/oC, as per Merchant Shipping Act 1958.
Headquarters: Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, and Mercantile Marine Departments located all over India.
4. Name of the Post: Deputy Director
In Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment
No. of Posts: 155 (SC-23, ST-09, OBC38, EWS-15, UR-66) (PwBD*-04)
Age Limit: 35 years
Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
Educational Qualification:
Degree of a recognized university. (B) EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience of Administration or Accounts or Marketing or Public Relation or Insurance or Revenue or Tax related matters in a Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body.
DESIRABLE: (i) Qualified Subordinate Accounts Services, or passed Institute of Costs and Works Accounts or Master of Business Administration (Finance), or a Degree in Law. (ii) Experience in matters relating to social insurance or Labour Laws.
Duties: (i) To assist the Regional Director in all his duties when they are posted in Regions. (ii) To assist Joint Director in his duties at Hqrs. Office. (iii) To perform such duties as may be assigned to them
Headquarters: ESI Corporation, Panchdeep Bhawan, C.I.G. Marg, New Delhi-110002. The officers appointed to the service shall be liable to serve anywhere in India
CITIZENSHIP:
A Candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
NOTE: The application of a candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be considered by the Commission and, if recommended for appointment, the candidate may also be provisionally appointed subject to the necessary certificate being issued in his favor by the Government of India
