UPSC Government Jobs 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from intending eligible candidates for Assistant Director, Assistant Director (Weed Science), Research Officer (Implementation) & Senior Grade of Indian Information Service

1. Name of the Post: Assistant Director

Department: Central Fertilizer Quality Control and Training Institute (CFQCTI), Faridabad, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare

No. of Post: 03 (OBC-01, UR-02) (PwBD*-01)
Pay Scale: Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
Age: 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic or Organic or Analytical Chemistry or M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Soil Science or Agriculture Chemistry of a recognized University or Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience in analytical work in the field of fertilizers.

DESIRABLE: (i) Doctorate degree in any of the subjects mentioned in the essential educational qualifications from a recognized University or Institute, (ii) Three years experience in the operation of modern equipment and tools used in the analysis of fertilizers.

NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

2. Name of the Post: Assistant Director (Weed Science)

Department: Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Faridabad, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare

No. of Post: 01 ( UR-01)
Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Age: 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

M.Sc Degree in Agricultural (Agronomy) with specialization in Weed Science or M.Sc Degree in Botany with Weed Science as a subject from a recognized University or Institution.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of practical experience in the field of Weed Science or Weed Control.

DESIRABLE: Doctorate degree in Agronomy with specialization in Weed Science from a recognized University or Institution.

NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

3. Name of the Post: Research Officer (Implementation)

Department: Regional Implementation Offices, Department of Official Languages, Ministry of Home Affairs,

No. of Posts: 08 (SC- 01, OBC-02, UR-05) (PwBD*-01).
Pay Scale: Level-07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Age: 30 years.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of an examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

NOTE:II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission, is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them

4. Name of the Post: Senior Grade of Indian Information Service

Department: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

No. of Posts: 34 (SC- 04, ST-02, OBC-08, EWS-03, UR-17) (PwBD*-02)
Pay Scale: Level-07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Age: 30 years.

The vacancies of the post of Senior Grade of Indian Information Service, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is Language-based and the language wise break-up of vacancies are as under:

  1. Hindi: 09
  2. English: 03
  3. Punjabi: 03
  4. Telugu: 05
  5. Oriya: 03
  6. Bengali: 01
  7. Marathi: 05
  8. Gujarathi: 01
  9. Assamese: 02
  10. Manipuri: 02

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree of a recognized University or Institute;
  • Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism/ Mass Communication from a recognized University/Institution; or Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from a recognized University/Institute;
  • Candidates must have studied concerned Indian language up to 10th Class.

Note: Direct recruitment to posts in Senior Grade Indian Information Service Group ‘B’ (Gazetted) shall be made language-wise. There shall be no category-wise/ community-wise reservation for any of the languages. EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience of journalistic, publicity, or public relations work in a Government Department/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization/ Newsagency/ Newspaper registered with the Registrar of Newspapers of India/any other Listed Private Organizations.
