Tezpur University Recruitment 2021: Tezpur University invites online (Email) application as well as Online-Interview to be held on 14/06/2021 in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Tezpur University, Napaam, Assam for Two (02) temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a MeitY sponsored collaborative research project entitled “Development of Secured and Reliable spectrum allocation schemes for next-generation elastic optical networks” under the Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Nityananda Sarma, Professor, Computer Science & Engineering, Tezpur University.
Name of the Project: “Development of Secured and Reliable spectrum allocation schemes for next-generation elastic optical networks”
Qualification: M.E., M. Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology)/ M.C.A. with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and valid NET/GATE as per DST norms.
Desirable: Candidates having research experience in Computer Networks/Optical Networks/SDN/Algorithm design for Networking problems will be preferred. Knowledge of programming in C++/Java, Python, CIPLEX, NS2/3.
Fellowship: 31,000 (Rupees Thirty One Thousand) only + 8% HRA as admissible per month as per DST norms.
Age: Candidates shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of the interview. The upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Duration: Initially for a period of one (01) year which may be extended further till completion of the project depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent or until further order, whichever is earlier.

N.B.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Those in employment or doing a Ph.D. must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
- The interview will be conducted through Google Meet. The meeting/Joining link and time for the interview will be communicated through email to the shortlisted candidates on 11 June 2021.
- On the day of the interview (14 June 2021), candidates will be receiving a call/message before being admitted.
- For the smooth conduct of the interview, the candidates are requested to arrange the following at their end:
a) A good and stable Internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for Google Meet.
b) A properly illuminated room for clear visibility. The location should not be noisy.
c) A good quality microphone/ headset with a mic. so that there is voice clarity.
d) A reasonably good web camera for the visuals.
