Sikkim University is a central university established in 2007 by an Act of Parliament and is fully funded by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. At present, the University has 32 academic departments organized under 6 Schools of Studies. Sikkim University is perhaps the first central university to make “National Social Service’ a compulsory audit course for all PG students.
