Sikkim Govt College Admission 2021: It’s a notification from the Education Department, Government of Sikkim, in order to process the Admission of students to Under Graduate Course in Government Colleges for the Academic session 2021-22.
A Central online committee at the Directorate of Higher Education has developed a common admission portal for Admission into Under Graduate Course for the Academic session 2021-22., for the convenience of both the institution as well as students.
Registration of candidates in Sikkim Government Colleges shall be done centrally through online mode. The candidates can log in to https://www.sgcregistration.com/ or through RUSA SIKKIM ADMISSION Mobile Application which can be downloaded from the Android Platform.
Intake Capacity:
- For Academic session 2021-22, the intake capacity will be, as per the college wise
- For B.Ed. College, Soreng the Admission Dates and Intake Capacity shall be updated in https://www.sgcregistration.com/ at the time of admission.

Selection Process:
Merit List will be based on the policy of best of 4 subjects in case of ISC and best of 5 in case of CBSE, and other State Boards. Based on the eligibility rule (as given in the Admission Notice) the marks obtained in the subjects for which the candidate has applied will mandatorily be a part of the best 4 or best 5 subjects for calculating the merit of the candidates.
Candidates other than a certificate of identification or Sikkim Subject or Residential Certificate must have at least 70% cumulative marks to be eligible for the merit list but if the candidates’ score is less than 70%, they will be directly called for counseling.
Prospectus Fees:
Prospectus fees will be calculated based on the number of colleges the applicant applies for Rs 300 for Degree and Law college, Rs 500 for Engineering college (State Institute of Science and Technology Chisopani, South Sikkim).
Payments: The prospectus fee can be paid through online/ offline mode.Online: Net banking/ Debit/ Credit card.Offline: Demand Draft – Upload the scanned copy of the demand draft. The size of the demand draft must not be greater than 1 Mb. Demand Draft should be In favor of E- collection Account HRDD Payable at Gangtok. Fill up the payment details form, pay the fee and print the payment slip. Keep the payment slip safe for future reference. After verification of payment, the system will send an acknowledgment message to the registered phone number and e-mail within 3 working days.
Registration Process for Sikkim Govt College Admission 2021:
- Step 1: Registration process: Fill up the Registration Form and submit it. The candidate has to provide a Name, roll number, and valid mobile number and also set PASSWORD. After successful submission, Application Number will be generated and will be sent to the registered mobile number & e-mail. This same Application Number will be used to complete the remaining steps of the Application Submission process and also for all future correspondence/ subsequent logins.
- Step 2: Important information: Fill up the important information details from where the candidate has to provide category (COI serial & vol number, the residential certificate number and ( ID no of regular state government employees (Non-Local); Central government employees, Army personal, CPMF (Central para Military Forces) transferred & working in Sikkim whichever is applicable) and also fill the marks obtained in class XII. Give details of marks of at least top 5 subjects and subject details should not exceed more than 6 subjects.
Note:- Sikkim Govt. Law College, Burtuk will consider only those candidates who have passed five subjects compulsory either in CBSE, ISC and other state board.
- For: Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology General – Best of 3 subjects with 45 % aggregate requirement mandatorily in Physics and Mathematics. The third subject can be the best among Chemistry/ IT/ Computer Science.
- For: Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology OBC- Best of 3 subjects with 40 % aggregate requirement mandatorily in Physics and Mathematics. The third subject can be the best among Chemistry/ IT/ Computer Science
- Step 3: College Preferences: Please select colleges and courses according to the priority in which you seek admission. However, this does not guarantee your admission to that particular college and course opted for.
- Note: A candidate can opt for either three colleges with one course per college or one college with three courses, or three colleges with three courses provided they are eligible to opt for the course and college (Refer Admission Notice).
- Step 4: Document Upload: Upload the scanned image of a recent passport size photograph in jpg/jpeg format only. The size of the image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 100 kb. Upload the scanned image of the Mark sheet of Class XII, Certificate of Identification, Disability Certificate, and Employment Proof of Father [in case of candidates applying under Regular Government Employee, Non-Local] (whichever applicable) size of the documents must not be less than 2 Mb.
- Step 5: Confirmation: The candidate should provide the required personal details.
