NWDA Recruitment 2021 invites online applications from intending Indian Citizens for various posts for its headquarters and various field offices located across the country under the Ministry of Jal Shakti (D/o Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation), Government of India.
1. Junior Engineer (Civil)
No. of Posts: 16 [UR-11, OBC-01, SC-03, ST-0, EWS-01]
Salary: Level – 6 (Rs.35400-112400/-)
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent.
Age: 18-27 years.
2. Hindi Translator
No. of Posts: 01 [UR-01, OBC-0, SC-0, ST-0, EWS-0]
Salary: Level – 6 (Rs.35400-112400/-)
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject as the medium of examination at the degree level;
OR
Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
OR
Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
OR
Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level;
AND
Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government office, including Government of India Undertaking.

3. Jr. Accounts Officer

Salary: Level – 6 (Rs.35400-112400/-)
Educational Qualification:
Essential:
- Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/Institute.
- Three years experience in Cash and Accounts in a Government Office/PSU/Autonomous Body/ Statutory Body.
Desirable: Candidates having CA/ICWAI/Company Secretary will be preferred.
Age: 21-30 years.
4. Upper Division Clerk
No. of Posts: 12 [UR-07, OBC-03, SC-01, ST-0, EWS-01]
Salary: Level – 4 (Rs. 25500- 81100/-)
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Degree of a recognized University.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint &Internet.
Age: 18-27 years.
5. Stenographer Grade – II
No. of Posts: 05 [UR-03, OBC-0, SC-0, ST-01, EWS-01]
Salary: Level – 4 (Rs. 25500- 81100/-)
Educational Qualification:
Essential: 12th Class passed from a recognized Board/University. Skill(Shorthand) Test (on Computer) at the speed of 80 wpm.
Age: 18-27 years.
6. Lower Division Clerk
No. of Posts: 23 [UR-08, OBC-04, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-02]
Salary: Level -2 (Rs.19900- 63200/-)
Educational Qualification:
Essential:
- 12th Class passed from a recognized Board; and
- A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer operating systems, MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint &Internet.
Age: 18-27 years.
Age Relaxation for all above-mentioned posts for NWDA Recruitment 2021:
The applicant should not exceed the age limit indicated above, as of the last date of receipt of the application. However, this age is relaxable as per the Govt. of India standing instructions for the following categories.
- For SC/ST candidates 5 years
- OBC candidates 3 years
- Physically Handicapped 10 years (15 years for SC/ST candidates and 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-serviceman Service rendered in Army/Navy/Air Force plus 3 years
- Government employees including Departmental candidate
a) 5 years for Jr. Engineer, Hindi Translator, and Jr. Accounts Officer
b) Up to 40 years for UDC, Stenographer Gr-II, and LDC
(Minimum 3 years service has been rendered in Government Department/Autonomous Bodies)
Selection Procedure for NWDA Recruitment 2021:
- For the posts of Junior Engineer, Hindi Translator, Junior Accounts Officer, and UDC the selection will be made through a competitive Computer Based online Test.
- For the posts of Stenographer Gr-II and LDC, the selection will be made through a competitive Computer Based online Test and Skill Test (Shorthand/Typing)
- Qualified candidates in the online examination tests on a merit basis will be called for the Shorthand/Typing Test (Qualifying only) for Stenographer Grade-II and LDC. Typing Tests will be conducted in English or Hindi on a computer only.
