Numaligarh Refinery Ltd Recruitment 2021: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), a subsidiary of M/s Oil India Limited (OIL), is a Miniratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. It has a 3.0 MMTPA Refinery at Numaligarh in the district of Golaghat, Assam, and Marketing Terminals at Numaligarh, Assam, and Siliguri, West Bengal. Numaligarh Refinery was conceived in the historic ‘Assam Accord’ of 1985.
NRL invites online applications from intending eligible candidates of Indian Citizens for the recruitment of 66 Posts for Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET), Assistant Officer & Assistant Accounts Officer.
1. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Civil
No of posts: 6 [SC: 2, OBC: 1, UR: 3]
Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Civil Engineering (4 years full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.
2. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Mechanical
No of posts: 20 [SC: 4, ST: 2, OBC: 6, UR: 6, EWS: 2]
Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering ( 4 years full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.
3. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Instrumentation
No of posts: 11 [SC: 2, ST: 1, OBC: 3, UR: 4, EWS: 1]
Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering ( 4 years full-time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having minimum 65% marks in aggregate.
4. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Electrical

Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Electrical Engineering ( 4 year full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having minimum 65% marks in aggregate.
5. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Chemical

Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Chemical Engineering ( 4 year full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having minimum 65% marks in aggregate.
6. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Computer Science

Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Computer Science Engineering ( 4 years full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.
7. Graduate Engineer Trainee – Metallurgy

Educational Qualification:
1st class degree in the discipline of Metallurgy / Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (4-year full time) from a recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC having minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.
8. Assistant Officer- Commercial (Trainee)

Educational Qualification:
2 years full-time Post-Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) from a recognized University / Institute approved by UGC with a minimum of 60% marks.
9. Assistant Accounts Officer

Educational Qualification: CA (Intermediate) pass
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University/ Institute approved by UGC with a minimum of 60% marks
Experience required: 3 years post qualifying degree
Age Limit:
- Graduate Engineer Trainee: 30 years as on 01.07.2021
- Assistant Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer: 32 years as on 01.07.2021
Job Placement:
The selected candidates may be posted in any location, department, function, or branch of the Company or Holding Company, subsidiary, associate or affiliate Company or any Joint Venture Company or deputed to any Department of Govt. of India/ other PSUs, etc.
Pay Scale:
- E-2: 50,000 – 1,60,000, CTC in lakh: 17.70
- E-1: 40,000 – 1,40,000, CTC in lakh: 15.10
Selection Process for Numaligarh Refinery Ltd Recruitment 2021:
- The selection process shall consist of Computer Based Test and Personal Interview or/and Group Task of the shortlisted candidates.
- All the candidates claiming to fulfil all the eligibility criteria will be called for Computer Based Test without verifying their eligibility.
- Computer Based Test will be of objective type questions with no negative marking and will comprise of 4 sections:
- Section A: Technical / Professional Knowledge comprising of questions related to Qualifying degree required for the applied position.
- Section B : General Knowledge/ Current Affairs
- Section C : English language
- Section D : Reasoning & Numerical Ability 80% questions will be from Section A.
- Candidates qualifying in the Computer Based Test in order of merit will be called for Group Task or/and Personal Interview.
- Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in both the stages i.e. Computer Based Test and Group Task (GT) & Personal Interview (PI) to be considered for further selection process. Minimum qualifying marks in each stage i.e CBT and (PI+GT) is 50%
- The offer of Appointment shall be issued to the suitable qualifying candidates in order of merit and based on the number of vacancies.
Scoring model
- Computer Based Test (85% Weightage)
- Group Task (5% Weightage)
- Personal Interview (10% Weightage)
- Final Score – Combined scores of Computer Based Test + Group Task + Personal Interview.
