NBA Recruitment 2021: The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites online applications from intending and creative students for internships programmes, who are willing to learn about natural resource management and biodiversity conservation; support the projects of NBA in various States and Union Territories, and technically assist the State Biodiversity Boards/UT Biodiversity Councils in the discharge of their mandates.

Stipend: Rs. 22,500/- per month
Eligibility Criteria :
- Postgraduate degree and interest in natural resource management
- Must be between 21-30 years of age ( Candidates pursuing their Postgraduate degree may also apply. However, they are required to submit a copy of their Masters Degree by 1 October 2021 to qualify for internships).
Description of Tasks:
Assist in:
- the operationalization and functioning of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) in the States and Union Territories
- BMCs in the preparation of People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs)
- the GOI-NBA-UNDP India Biodiversity Awards process
- the implementation of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002
Job Location:
Interns will be placed in NBA – Chennai, MoEFCC, and UNDP – New Delhi and the State Biodiversity Boards/UT Biodiversity Councils across the country
Selection Procedure for NBA Recruitment 2021:
Applicants must submit an online application. S/he must give an online exam in the month of October 2021 on aspects of natural resource management – specifically pertaining to India’s National Reports (NR5 and NR6) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, SDG, and Post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. Based on the performance they would be shortlisted for a virtual personal interview in the month of November 2021.
