Nagaland University Admission 2021 – B.Tech. & B.Ed.

Nagaland University Admission 2021: Nagaland University, the 13th Central University and the only Central University in Nagaland was established based on the Act of Parliament of India and received the assent of the President of India on the 20th October 1989. At present, the University has four campuses, viz.
(i) Headquarters at Lumami in Zunheboto district
(ii) Kohima Campus at Meriema in Kohima district
(iii) Medziphema Campus (School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development) at Medziphema in Dimapur district and
(iv) a temporary campus at Dimapur with two Schools (School of Engineering & Technology and School of Management Studies).

There are 37 departments offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate and PhD programmes in different disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering & Technology and Management streams. There are 65 colleges from all over the state of Nagaland currently affiliated with Nagaland University.

Nagaland University invites online applications in the prescribed form for admission to the B.Ed. regular course of two years in various government and private colleges of teacher education across the Nagaland State and the B.Tech Degree programme in the School of Engineering & Technology, Dimapur.

Eligibility to appear for CET B.Ed. (Nagaland)-2021:

1. The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
2. The candidates must meet the Local/Non-local requirements in terms of laws laid down by the Nagaland Government/State.
3. The number of seats available for admission to each B.Ed college will depend upon the latest decision of NCTE and its prevailing norms.
4. Educational Qualifications:
   (a) Candidates who have completed Graduation or Post Graduation or any equivalent degree with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD and other reserved categories as per the laws of Nagaland) in Science/Arts/ Humanities/ Commerce are eligible to apply for this course. Candidates having Engineering and Technology degrees with 55% or equivalent grades and have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as special papers are also eligible for the course in Mathematics/Science pedagogy. However, final semester candidates are also eligible to apply for the course but admission will be given only when they will produce the pass certificate with the above mentioned required percentage at the time of counselling.
   (b) Candidates having less than 45% or equivalent grade at Graduation level will also be eligible if they have 50% marks or equivalent grade for Post Graduation degree or any other equivalent degree recognized by UGC.
   (c) Rounding off of 44.5-44.9 to 45 % or 49.5-49.9 to 50 % will not be accepted. The candidates must have secured a complete 45% or 50 % (minimum criterion) or more than that for applying.

The Common Entrance Test will be held at the following centres:

2. B.Tech

Seat Intake: 30 for each Department.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech. at Nagaland University Admission 2021:

Candidate should have secured minimum aggregate marks of 50% for General Category and 45% for SC/ST Category in 10+2/Diploma exam.

• Fresh Entry (after 10+2): Students should have passed Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 Exam. Students opting for the Biotechnology programme should have passed Physics, Chemistry Mathematics and Biology in their 10+2 Exam.
• Lateral Entry (after diploma):
  Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution
  OR
  Passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
  OR
  Students, who have passed a diploma in engineering & Technology from a university-approved institution or B.Sc. degree from a recognized university defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first-year engineering degree courses subject to vacancies in the first-year class in as the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Selection Process of B.Tech. at Nagaland University Admission 2021:

• An aggregate of compulsory subjects along with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology for Biotechnology.
• An aggregate of compulsory subjects along with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics for other departments.
• The merit list shall be based on 70% of the 12th standard and 30% of JEE main/ advanced score for fresh entry.
• Selection for admission under lateral entry will be as per marks obtained in Diploma/B.Sc.

Applying Process:

CET B.Ed.-

Only online Submitted Applications will be considered for Entrance Test and Admission to the B.Ed. Course. Deposited Application Fees is Non-Refundable.

B.Tech.-

The application for admission only on the prescribed form duly filled in and completed in all respect must reach the Dean of SET on or before the last date specified for the purpose online.
