Manipur University Admission 2021: Manipur University was established on 5th June 1980 under the Manipur University Act. 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980), as a teaching-cum-affiliating university at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur and it was converted into a Central University w.e.f. 13/10/2005. The Manipur University Act No 54 of 2005 received the assent of the President on 28/12/2005. At present, the University has 108 affiliated colleges inclusive of 2 medical colleges. Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT) is a constituent college of the University.
Manipur University invites online applications from intending candidates for admission to the Postgraduate Courses for the academic session 2021-22.
Courses Offered in Manipur University Admission 2021:
1. Post Graduate Programmes – MA / MSC / MCOM / MCA / MLIS / MPES / LL.M / MFA
Eligibility & Intake Programmes: Name of the Degree, Eligibility, and Intake Capacity-
The University will admit students to the postgraduate programmes leading to a Masters degree from amongst the candidates who passed BA/ BSc/Bcom (Three years degree Course) or equivalent examinations from a recognised University/Institute.

Mode of Selection in Manipur University Admission 2021 for Postgraduate Programmes:
- All eligible candidates for M.A./M.Sc./M.Com/M.C.A./MLIS./MPES/LL.M/MFA. course or whose result of Bachelor Degree examination or equivalent are awaited shall have to appear at an admission test on the date and time to be announced and put up on the Notice Board of the department concerned and website of the University.
- The preparation of merit list of admission to various courses shall be totally based on admission test mark and weightage given in the prospectus
- A merit list along with mark obtained (test mark + weightage) shall be announced after the admission test. However the issue of admission slip shall be strictly subject to the necessary verification of degree qualifying marks, weightage and other relevant documents. The verification shall be carried out by the department concerned within a date fixed by the departmental Admission Committee.
- Candidates not fulfilling the eligibility criteria given in the prospectus shall not be issued Admission slip. Their name(s) shall also be cancelled from the Merit List.
- In case of any dispute arises the decision of the departmental Admission Committee shall be final.
2. Management Studies – MBA
Total No. of Seats: 63
Eligibility:
- Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 50% (45% for SC and ST) marks in aggregate. Final year degree appearing candidates can also apply.
- Candidates, who have qualified and possess valid score of national level examinations like CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT
Selection Procedure:
Entrance Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

B.Voc in:

Eligibility Criteria:
- B.Voc., Bachelor of Vocation programme (Three years Degree course with multiple exit/entry facility): A candidate who passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized Board/ Council/ University is eligible to apply for admission into the course.
- M.Voc., Master of Vocation programme (Two years Post Graduate Degree course): A graduate in any stream from a recognized Institute/University is eligible to apply for admission into the course.
Preference shall be given to the candidates who had completed the B.Voc courses in the relevant trade.

Admission Procedure:
As per the Ordinance of the Vocational courses of the Univerity, the Written-test, Personal interview/Group Discussion and counselling session for admission into the courses above shall be held in the CESD, Manipur University on the date mentioned below subject to the condition that the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the state improves to conduct the admission tests.
NB: Candidates who have qualified for the National Level entrance tests like CAT/MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT with valid scores shall be exempted from Written Test and shall be permitted to appear in the Personal Interview/ Group discussion directly for admission into the M.Voc. courses.
