India Post Sportsperson Recruitment 2023: India post invites online application from meritorious Sportspersons candidates for the recruitment of 1899 posts for Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Mail Guard, Postman and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) under the Sportsperson.

1. Name of the post: Postal Assistant
- No.of post: 598 posts
- Age limit: 18 years to 27 years
- Salary: Level 4 (Rs.25,500/- Rs.81,100/-)
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
- Knowledge of working on computer.
2. Name of the post: Sorting Assistant
- No.of post: 143 posts
- Age limit: 18 years to 27 years
- Salary: Level 4 (Rs.25,500/- Rs.81,100/-)
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
- Knowledge of working on computer
3.Name of the post: Mail Guard
- No.of posts: 3 posts
- Age Limit: 18 years to 27 years
- Salary: Level 3 (Rs.21,700/- Rs.69,100/-)
Education Qualification:
- 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
- Should have passed local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in 10th standard or above.
- Knowledge of working on Computer.
- Valid license to drive two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (For the post of Postman only). Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted from the possession of license

- Age Limit: 18 years to 27 years
- Salary: Level 3 (Rs.21,700/- Rs.69,100/-)
Education Qualification:
- 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
- Should have passed local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in 10th standard or above.
- Knowledge of working on Computer.

5. Name of the post: Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)

- Age limit: 18 years to 25 years
- Salary: Level 1 (Rs.18,000/- Rs.56,900/-)
Education Qualification:
- 10th standard pass from a recognized Board.
State Wise Posts Distribution:
Sportsperson Qualification:
- Sportspersons who have represented a State or the Country in the National or International competition in any of the sports / games mentioned in para 7 of this notification.
- Sportspersons who have represented their university in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the sports / games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
- Sportspersons who have represented the State School teams in the National Sports / Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the sports / games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
- Sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Other important instructions:
- The vacancies notified are subject to change without assigning any reason.
- The selected candidates shall be liable to serve anywhere in India as and when required at the sole discretion of the appointing authority.
- The selected candidates after appointment shall be on probation for a period of not less than two (2) years. Confirmation after successful completion of probation shall be governed by prevailing rules/regulations/instructions of the Government of India.
- Selected candidates will have to undergo training as may be specified by the Department of Posts, which may be a pre-condition for completion of probation. . In case of variation between Hindi version and English version of this notice, provisions of English version shall prevail.
