IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2023: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites online applications from intending eligible Indian Nationals for the recruitment of 35 Junior Technical Superintendent and Junior Assistant posts in IIT Guwahati.
1. Name of the Post: Junior Technical Superintendent
No. of posts: 22 [UR:18, SC:1 & EWS:3]
Age Limit: 30 years (No upper Age Limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati and age relaxation for contractual employees shall be as per norms of the Institute).
Pay of Scale: Level- 6 (As per 7th CPC)
Educational Qualification:
B.Tech/BE/ Post Graduate Degree or B.Sc with 2 years relevant experience in an appropriate field or Diploma in Engineering with 3 years relevant experience in an appropriate field with good academic record.
Specialization:-
- BE/ B.Tech./Post Graduation in Chemical Engineering OR Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- MSc in Chemistry or B.Sc. in Chemistry with 2 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/ B.Tech/ Post Graduation in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology/ MCA or B. Sc. in Computer Science/BCA with 2 years relevant experience in the appropriate field, or Diploma in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- B.E/ B.Tech/Post Graduation in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering Or, with three years Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/B.Tech/Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/ B.Tech/Post Graduation in Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology or Diploma in Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/B.Tech./ Post Graduation in Engg. Physics/Electronics/ Electronic Science/ Instrumentation or Diploma in Engg. Physics/ Electronics/ Electronic Science/ Instrumentation with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field. OR, M.Sc. in Physics/ Electronics/ Electronic Science/ Instrumentation. OR, B.Sc. in Physics / Electronics/ Electronic Science/ Instrumentation with 2 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/ B.Tech/Post Graduation in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.
- BE/ B.Tech/Post Graduation in Biotechnology/M.Sc. in any branch of Life Science or B.Sc. in any branch of life science with 2 years relevant experience in the appropriate field or Diploma in Biotechnology with 3 years relevant experience in the appropriate field.

Age Limit: 27 years (No upper Age Limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati and age relaxation for contractual employees shall be as per norms of the Institute).
Pay of Scale: Level– 3 (as per 7th CPC)
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree with knowledge of computer office applications
Note: Appointment will be initially on a contract basis for a period of three years and likely to be regularized based on performance.
