Salary: Rs.65000/-Rs.112000/- Grade pay of Rs/.18500+30% Special Allowance of Basic pay and other allowances as admissible
2. Name of the post: Additional Public Prosecutors
No. of posts: 88 posts
Salary: Rs.30000/-Rs.110000/- Grade pay of Rs/.17500+30% Special Allowance of Basic pay and other allowances as admissible
3. Name of the post: Assistant Public Prosecutors
No.of posts: 185 posts
Salary: Rs.30000/-Rs.110000/- Grade pay of Rs/.16900+30% Special Allowance of Basic pay and other allowances as admissible
Eligibility Criteria for Home and Political Department Recruitment 2024:
- The candidates must be a permanent resident of Assam
Age Limit: 45 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PWD: 10 years
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University in India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
Service Qualification:
- For Public Prosecutor: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court a period of not less than 8(eight) years basically on the criminal side
- For Additional public Prosecutor: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court a period of not less than 7(Seven) years basically on the criminal side
- For Assistant Public Prosecutor: Having practice as an Advocate including in the High Court a period of not less than 3(Three) years basically on the criminal side
Application Fee:
- General: Rs.300/-
- SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.200/-
- BPL Candidates: Rs.50/-
