Eligibility for Postgraduate Courses in Guwahati University Admission 2021:
BA/BSc/BCom (in 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/honours courses in the concerned subject or B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a general pass course with at least 45% Marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. [45% Marks is to be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in Part I and Part II of the (2+1) pattern and the part I, part II and Part III of the (1+1+1) pattern are eligible to seek admission to the University. However, certain specific eligibility criteria have been fixed by the concerned departments and these are applicable especially for the interdisciplinary subjects.
Note: An applicant who has completed a Postgraduate Course from GU on an earlier occasion or got admitted into a Postgraduate Course of GU, whether completed or not, will be considered for fresh admission. The other category quota will not be applicable for those applicants. Their application for Hostel seats will be considered only after the request of fresh applicants has been exhausted. However, these rules may be relaxed in case of professional courses coming under the purview of regulatory bodies like AICTE, NCTE, BCI (Courses like MBA, MTech, LLM etc).
Admission Procedure:
There will be a Common Entrance Test for admission into different Post Graduate Courses to be conducted by Gauhati University (both for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University) for the session 2021-22. Admissions will be based strictly on the performance and eligibility criteria of the Entrance Examination.

Integrated M.Com Admission in Guwahati University Admission 2021:
Five Years Integrated M.Com. Programme:
INTAKE CAPACITY: 60 SEATS
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:
Candidates who have passed the H.S. (10+2) Examination in the years 2020 and 2021 are only eligible to apply. For admission into the 1st Semester Course, a candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination recognised by the Gauhati University securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate. The SC/ST/OBC and MOBC candidates shall be given relaxation up to 5% (Five Percent) of marks.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
The admission into the Five Years Integrated M.Com Course will be based on an Entrance Test to be conducted by Gauhati University. The selection list and Date of Admission will be notified on GU Website (www.gauhati.ac.in).
