Gauhati University Recruitment 2021 invites applications from intending eligible candidates for the 09 vacant posts of Senior Project Associate (SPA), Project Associate-I (PA-I) and Field Worker (FW) (Temporary) for 2 years in the DST-NMHSE funded project titled “Climate Change and Sustainability of Agricultural practices and Livelihoods in the Eastern Himalaya: Case Studies in Northeastern Region of India” under the guidance of Dr Ratul Mahanta, Principal Investigator and Professor, Department of Economics, Gauhati University.
1. Senior Project Associate (SPA)
No. of posts: 02
Salary: Rs.42,000/- p.m. + HRA 16%
Qualification: Ph.D in Environmental Science/Economics or Masters in Environmental Sciences/Environment Management/Economics with 4 years research Experience(NET/GATE qualified). Candidates having Knowledge in remote sensing is preferable.
2. Project Associate-I (PA-I)
No. of posts: 2
Salary: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + HRA 16%
Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Economics/Geography/Veterinary sciences/Agriculture sciences with GATE/NET.
3. Field Worker (FW)
No. of posts: 6
Salary: Rs. 18,000/- p.m. + HRA 16%
Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline
Duties:
Continuous household data collection in the hill districts of Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh for 2 years. Preferences will be given to candidates belonging to Diphu, Haflong, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
Selection Procedure for Gauhati University Recruitment 2021:
The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of shortlisting, followed by an interview.
Note: The date of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
