Guidelines for admission of Industry-Sponsored Candidates:
A candidate must have all above mentioned essential qualification and a minimum of three years working experience in agro-based industries having a minimum turnover of Rs 1Crore.
Guidelines for admission of IN-Service Candidates:
A candidate must have all above mentioned essential qualification or A foreign university degree (with a minimum B grade or its equivalent) recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the university with good knowledge of English.
ADMISSION OF IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES OF CENTRAL/STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES (CAUS/SAUS)/ ICAR INSTITUTES UNDER ACADEMIC UPGRADATION SCHEME (AUS) EXCEPT RPCAU:
a) Not more than two candidates sponsored by any university shall be admitted in any one year under this stream.
b) The candidates sponsored under this scheme should be regular employees of the university who has completed five years services and should be likely to continue in service after obtaining the degree. No fellowship shall be awarded to them from RPCAU.
c) The words “Sponsored for admission under Academic Upgradation Scheme” should be clearly inscribed on the application form and on the forwarding letter. The sponsorship certificate should be duly forwarded by the Vice-Chancellor or his nominee/ concerned Director
d) All other relevant regulation shall be applicable to all in-service candidates as applicable to a student under the normal category.
e) RPCAU candidates are not permitted to take admission under this scheme.
MBA in Rural Management Programme offered in Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University Admission 2020:
1.M.B.A. (Rural Management)
Essential Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree (4 years course) in Agriculture & Allied Sciences with minimum 60 % marks or 7.0 OGPA on 10 points scale or equivalent and qualified for XAT/CAT/MAT.
AGE LIMIT: The minimum age for admission shall be 21 years as on 31st July, of the academic year but not more than 50 years. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
For PG/PhD:
(a) Academic Attainments (Record)
Weightage for academic attainments (High School to a terminal degree) would be 70%.
(b) Interview
The weightage for the interview is 30%. Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 1:4 (No. of seats: No. of students called for interview).
Selection of CAUs/SAUs/ICAR In-service Nominee candidate and Industry sponsored candidate will be based on the academic score as per guideline framed by the University and personal interview. The weightage of Academic score and Personal Interview will be 70: 30. The entire process will be done through a selection committee. Final selection will be based on the cumulative score. The decision of the University Selection Committee will be final. All the PhD Candidates have to show a PowerPoint presentation on his future work plan.
The Industry Sponsored Candidate who will sign an MOU will get 10% weightage in the selection process.
The selected candidates will not be eligible for any scholarship. A student selected under this category will have to abide by all the rules and regulations applicable to a student under the normal category.
For M.B.A. (Rural Management):
The merit list will be prepared by the duly constituted committee as per guidelines placed below.
(a) XAT/CAT/MAT score: Weightage for XAT/CAT/MAT score would be 50%.
(b) Group Discussion: Weightage for Group Discussion would be 25%.
(c) Interview: Weightage for Interview would be 25%.
The university will not provide any scholarship under this programme. A student selected under this category will have to abide by all the rules and regulations applicable to a student under the normal category. The decision of the University Selection Committee will be final.
