Dibrugarh University invites online applications from the intending eligible candidates for appearing in the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET), 2021 for admission to the various academic Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University and its Affiliated and Autonomous Colleges in the Academic Session 2021-2022.

Subjects & Eligibility for Postgraduate Programmes
1. Master of Arts (M.A.):
Anthropology, Assamese, Bodo, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, and Statistics
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
2. Master of Science (M.Sc.):
Anthropology, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Geography, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
3. Master of Commerce (M.Com.):
(i) Finance and (ii) Marketing
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Speciality/ Honours in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
4. M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
Eligibility: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institution in Biological Sciences/ Agricultural Sciences/ Veterinary Sciences/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/Medical Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
5. M.A. in Mass Communication
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% in Major/ Honours or aggregate
6. M.A. in Applied Psychology
Eligibility: Candidates having Bachelor’s degree (excluding Fine Arts), including a Medical degree, and other Technical Graduates from Dibrugarh University or any other University recognized by the UGC with at least 45% marks in Major/ Honours or 50% marks in aggregate
7. M.Ed. (Recognized by NCTE)
Obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
i) B.Ed.
ii) B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed.(Integrated)
iii) B.El.Ed
iv) D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).
Note:
Candidates who appeared/ appearing in the 6th Semester B.A., B.Sc., B. Com Examinations, 2021, and waiting for their results are eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2021 and can get provisional admission if selected.
Candidates who appeared/ appearing in the Final Semester Examinations and waiting for results but have a backlog in the 2nd and/or 4th Semester Examinations are also eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2021 and can get provisional admission if selected.
Selection Criteria for Admission through DUPGET, 2021:
- For the 80% of seats reserved for the students who graduated from Dibrugarh University, shall be selected on the merit of the DUPGET, 2021 (i.e. the weightage of DUPGET 2021 shall be 100%) in addition to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria.
- For the 20% of the seats kept under the Open category, the candidates shall also be selected on the merit of the DUPGET, 2021 only subject to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria.
Nature of the DUPGET:
- The DUPGET shall be of 100 Marks and of 2 (two) hours duration.
- It shall be conducted in a single paper of the concerned subject containing 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice questions carrying 1 (one) mark each.
- The Question Paper shall be in English excluding the language subjects.
- There shall be a provision of negative marking of 0.25 (point two five) mark for incorrect response to a question.
- The candidate shall be required to appear the DUPGET in the OMR Sheet and the evaluation process shall be done by the automated electronically operated system.
- The DUPGET score shall be valid for admission in the current academic session 2021-2022 only.

Applications Fees:
The applicants shall be required to pay the Application Fee of Rs. 500/- only through the online payment gateway by using Debit (ATM) Card/Credit Card/ Internet Banking during the submission of the form. No other mode of payment is accepted.
How to Apply:
For submission of the Online Application Form, intending candidates are advised to follow the following instructions:
- The candidate shall be required to visit the DUPGET 2021 Portal in the website- www.dibru.ac.in and go through the ‘Click here to Apply’ Link.
- The Candidates are suggested to read carefully the Process-flow or the Instructions before going to the Next step.
- On clicking the Next button, the Online Application Form shall be displayed. The Candidates need to fill-up all information correctly. Please note that all fields of the Application Form are mandatory.
- During filling-up the Application Form, the Candidate need to create a Password according to their choice for subsequent log-in to pay Application Fee and Final Submission.
- After completion of the filling-up the Form and uploading of the Photograph and Signature, the Candidate needs to click the button- ‘Submit and Proceed for Payment of the Application Fee’ of 500/- only. Page 6
- In the next page, the candidate needs to log-in by entering the Mobile No. and Password for Fee Payment.
- On Payment of the Fees, ‘Your Final Submission is done. You may take print out of your Application Form and Admit Card now’ will be displayed.
- There will be a button to download your Application Form and Admit Card for future reference.
- The Candidate shall have to take a print out of the Admit Card and bring the same to the Examination Hall on the Date of the Test for verification.
- The Submission of Online Application Forms shall be automatically closed after the last date.

B.Ed. COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (B.Ed. CET) 2021
Dibrugarh University invites online applications from the intending eligible candidates for appearing in the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) 2021 for admission to the B.Ed. Programme under Dibrugarh University scheduled to be held on 19.09.2021 (Sunday).

The B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed.CET):
A Common Entrance Test will be conducted by Dibrugarh University to provisionally select candidates for admission into the B.Ed. Programme offered by the affiliated colleges and the Department of Education of Dibrugarh University.
Eligibility Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission
- Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities;
OR
Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology of Dibrugarh University, or any other University recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.
Note: A candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours / Major subject but less than 50 % in aggregate in all the courses / papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme, as the requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate. - Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by Dibrugarh University for that academic session.
Selection Criteria for Admission through CET, 2021:
Selection for admission into the B.Ed. Programme in any institution under Dibrugarh University will be based on the following:
- A Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted centrally, which will carry a maximum of 70 marks.
- The career performance will carry a maximum of 30 marks, on the basis of the percentage secured in the HSLC, HS, the First Degree and/or Master’s Degree Examination.
- 10% of the percentage of marks secured in H.S.L.C., H.S., Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree Examination shall be considered as career performance in each examination. For example: If a student gets 53% in the first Degree Examination (Major / Aggregate), his/her career performance marks in that examination will be
NOTE: The candidates, who cleared the B.Ed. CET, 2021, shall have to apply for admission into the institution of their choice. The concerned institutions will select the candidates for admission on the basis of their marks in the CET and Career Performance. The marks on the career performance will be awarded by the respective institutions.
