Cotton University is a public state university, established in the year 2017 of the Assam Legislative Assembly to merge the Cotton College State University (CCSU) and Cotton College. The Cotton College came into existence from the year 1901 but it got its University status in 2017.

Basic Eligibility for Cotton College Admission 2020
- The qualifying examination for getting admission in any Undergraduate course is the Higher Secondary (HS) or equivalent (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or Council.
- To apply for any of the BSc Honours Programmes, the applicant must pass the qualifying examination in Science stream. The other programmes are open for students having passed the qualifying examination in any stream (Science, Arts or Commerce).

How to apply:
- Application for admission to any UG course in Cotton University must be filled up and submitted ONLINE through the University website www.cottonuniversity.ac.in. There will be separate application windows/tabs for each programmes.
- Applicants must first generate their Unique IDs in the website of the Director, Higher Education through the link http://dheonlineadmission.amtron.in/sp/. Without the Unique ID, no applicant would be able to apply for admission in any programme/course
