Assam Women’s University established in 2014 by Assam Act No. XXII of 2013, as a State University. It is the only Women University in entire North-East India. It is constituted as teaching, residential and non-affiliating institution of higher education for young women.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
Eligibility: 10+2 level with minimum 50% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Eligibility: Minimum 50 % marks in aggregate at 10+2 level in any discipline.
Postgraduate Programmes
MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 50% marks.
MCA (Master of Computer Application)
Eligibility: Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or PGDCA or B.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electronics or Bachelor degree in any other discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects. The candidate must have secured 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
MTTM (Master of Tourism & Travel Management)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 50% marks
MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks.
Master of Fashion Design and Technology
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in Assamese
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject with at least 45% marks.
MA in Cultural Studies
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in Economics
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject with at least 45% marks. Students with Mathematical & Statistical background either in H.S. or at the graduation level would be given preference
Master of Arts in Education
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in English
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in Mass Communication & Journalism
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 45% marks
Master of Arts in Political Science
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in the subject with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in Sociology
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with major in Sociology or in any discipline offered as major / honours with at least 45% marks.
Master of Arts in Psychology (Self-Financed Course)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized University / Institution with at least 45% marks.
MSW (Master of Social Work) (Self-Financed Course)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 45% marks.
MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) (Self-Financed Course)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University / Institution with at least 50% marks.
Diploma Programme
PGDCA
Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks.
Note:- i)A relaxation of 5% marks shall be applicable for SC/ST candidates.
