Assam Rifles Recruitment 2024: Assam Rifles invites offline applications from intending eligible candidates for the recruitment of 44 Rifleman/Riflewoman (GD)\ Warrant Officer Personal Assistant/Warrant Officer draughtsman/ Rifleman Lineman Field/Rifleman Recovery Veh Mech/ Rifleman Plumber/ Rifleman X-Ray Assistant Posts.
1. Name of the post: General Duty
No. of posts: 38 posts (for Male & female both)
Intial Rank: Rifleman
Age Limit: 18 to 23 years
Education Qualification:
- 10th class pass from a recognized Board
2. Name of the post: Personal Assistant
No. of posts: 01 post (Male & Female Candidates)
Initial Rank: Warrant Officer
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
Education Qualification:
- Intermediate or senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board/University or equivalent.
- Skill Test Norms on computer:-
- Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
- Transcription Time 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
3. Name of the post: Draughtsman
No. of posts: 01 posts ( For Male candidates only)
Initial Rank: Warrant Officer
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
Education Qualification:
- 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board and a three-year Diploma in Architectural assistantship from any recognized Polytechnic college or institution
- Trade Test Norms:–
- Basic Knowledge of calculating dimensions weight limitations and recruitments in materials and described production methods step by step(including equipment and software types to be used)
4. Name of the post: Lineman Field

Age Limit: 18 to 23 years
Education Qualification:
- 10th class pass from a recognized Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in electrician trade from a recognized Institute
- Trade Test Norms:-
- Practical knowledge in AC & DC current star/delta connections, electric fittings, rectification of faults in electric circuit, MCB, fuse, earthing sys, install & maintain wiring, control of lighting systems, handling of generators, transformers will be assessed by the Trade (skill) Test Board
5. Name of the post: Recovery Veh Mech
No. of posts: 01 posts ( For Male candidates only)
Intial Rank: Rifleman
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
Education Qualification:
- 10th class pass and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in recovery Vehicle mechanic or recovery Vehicle Operator from a recognized Board or University.
- Trade Test Norms:–
- Practical knowledge in the trade including inspecting and testing Vehicles, engine tuneups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes wheel balancing replacing filters, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and body damage, cleaning, washing, and painting of vehicle maintain records by recording service and repairs, verify recovery veh serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems will be assessed by the Trade(Skill) Test Bd.
6. Name of the post: Plumber

Education Qualification:
- 10th class pass from a recognized Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in Plumber trade from a recognized Institute.
- Trade Test Norms:-
- Practical knowledge in the trade incl installing pipes and fixtures, sinks, and toilets using hand and power tools, installing support pipes eqpt and fixtures prior to installation, measurement cutters cut thread and bending pipe, fitting and valves for installation using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, threading of pipes, located leaks, sly wrench, hacksaw blades pipe cutters and its uses will be assessed by the Trade(skill)Test Bd.
7. Name of the post: X-Ray Assistant
No. of posts: 01 posts (For Male candidates only)
Intial Rank: Rifleman
Age Limit: 18 to 23 years
Education Qualification:
- 10+2 pass with a diploma in Radiology from a recognized Board or University.
- Trade Test Norms:-
- practical knowledge of the trade incl medical imaging equipment, producing images using radiology equipment handling of radiology eqpt, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sonography mammography, and computed tomography (CT) will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test Bd.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Rifles Recruitment 2024:
- Only one dependent family member of Assam Rifles personnel who was killed in action died while in service, was discharged from service on medical grounds, and was missing while in service is eligible to apply for a compassionate ground appointment.
Pay Scale: Pay scale and other allowances will as admissible to Assam Rifles personnel.
