APSC Recruitment 2023: Assam Public Service Commission(APSC) invites online applications from intending eligible candidates for filling up 317 vacant posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Public Works Roads Department [PWRD] and Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department [PW(B&NH)D].
1. Name of Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil)
No of posts: 244 [UR: 117, OBC/MOBC: 64, SC: 27, STP: 27, STH: 9]
Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- [Grade Pay- Rs. 12700/-]
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an Indian or foreign University recognized by the Government.
OR
Passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possess a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India) only. - Degrees obtained through Distance mode of education will not be eligible.
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
2. Name of Post: Junior Engineer (Civil)
No of posts: 73 [UR: 0, OBC/MOBC: 0, SC: 21, STP: 40, STH: 12]
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs.49,000/- [Grade pay- Rs 8,700/-]
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering & Planning from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
- The Diplomas/Courses must be Regular courses. Diplomas/Courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted, Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Age Limit:
Assistant Engineer (Civil): The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023.
Junior Engineer (Civil): The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023.
Age Relaxation:
The upper age limit is relaxable upto:
SC/STP/STH: 5 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate/Voter lD or his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency,
