APSC Job Recruitment 2023: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) invites online applications from intending eligible Indian Nationals for filling up 10 vacant posts of Senior Information & Public Relations Officer and Junior Information & Public Relations Officer.
1. Name of the Post: Senior Information & Public Relations Officer
No of posts: 4 [UR- 3, SC- 0, ST- 0, OBC/MOBC- 1, EWS- 0]
Pay Matrix Level: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- GP: Rs. 13,900/-
Essential Qualification and Experience:
- A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university only will be acceptable (Professional/Technical Degrees allowed).
- A degree/diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) or at least five years’ experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/ Government Public Relations Department.
- A good command over English.
- Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.
- Knowledge of Computer Applications. The candidates must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a Govt recognized institute.
2. Name of the Post: Junior Information & Public Relations Officer
No of posts: 6 [UR- 4, SC- 1, ST- 1, OBC/MOBC- 0, EWS- 0]
Pay Matrix Level: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- GP: Rs. 12,700/-
Essential Qualification and Experience:
- A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university only will be acceptable (Professional/Technical Degrees allowed).
- A degree/diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or at least three years of experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/ Government Public Relations Department.

General Conditions for APSC Job Recruitment 2023:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a Permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purposes/Voter lD/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency with the application.
